According to the latest report of the European Central Bank<\/strong> ( July 2015 ), Spain<\/strong> is one of the countries which offers the cheapest mortgages in Europe<\/strong>. Three years ago, mortgages in Spain were much more expensive<\/strong> with a price differential above 4%. Nowadays, this differential is below 1%. The report of the ECB places our average interest rate at 2.12%<\/strong> which is below the European average of 2.22%.<\/p>\n

ONLY 5 COUNTRIES HAVE CHEAPER MORTGAGES THAN SPAIN<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the European Union there are only 5 countries which offer cheaper mortgages than Spain. These are: Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Lithuania<\/strong> and Finland<\/strong>. Other countries such as France, Portugal or Italy have a higher interest rate than Spain. Therefore, our country is one of the best options to sign up a mortgage<\/strong>. From December 2013 onwards, Spain has slowly been reducing the interest rate and thus, reaching a level below the European average. We must ask ourselves what has changed so that the mortgages have become more affordable.<\/p>\n

THE BANKS HAVE OFFERED MORE CREDITS AND LOANS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The lowering of the interest rates<\/strong> as well as the all-time low Euribor<\/strong> have led to the drop of Spanish mortgages<\/strong>. In Spain, the interest rate has been reduced<\/strong> six points, whereas in the rest of Europe it has increased four points. The intervention of the ECB injecting money<\/strong> into European banks has contributed significantly to the drop in these interest rates. In Spain, there are, again, good opportunities to get a credit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, some conditions must be taken into account. Financial support<\/strong> in order to guarantee the purchase of the product is essential.
