Parque Santander<\/strong> is also known as Parque Canal de Isabel II<\/strong> and it not only has areas full of trees but it also has spaces dedicated to leisure<\/strong>, entertainment and sporting activities<\/strong>. In Estate One we thoroughly enjoy walking along green spaces in Madrid because we think that parks are an essential part of a city<\/strong>. In this blog we have already talked about some parks in Madrid. The last one we wrote about was Parque del Capricho<\/a>. Today, we will visit a multidisciplinary park<\/strong> called Parque Santander<\/strong> which is located in the district of Chamber\u00ed.<\/p>\n

\"Parque<\/p>\n

A RESTING PLACE WITH SPORTING ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Parque Santander<\/strong> was inaugurated in 2007, with a total area of 120.000 square meters<\/strong>. The aim of the project was to combine a resting place where people could meet as well as spaces for sporting activities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Parque<\/p>\n

This park is located in part of the area known as Canal de Isabel II<\/strong> which is between Santander Street and Filipinas Avenue. Its recreational and leisure part is full of different kinds of trees<\/strong> where you can not only play chess but also play boules or bocce.<\/p>\n

\"Parque<\/p>\n

On the other hand, half of this park has been planned in order to offer sporting activities such as paddle tennis, football and jogging<\/strong>. We can see one of the water tanks of Canal de Isabel II which had to be reinforced.<\/p>\n

In the middle of this beautiful park there is an important pond with jets of water<\/strong> which are very much appreciated in the hot summer season.<\/p>\n
