The resources of our planet are not endless and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/housing-and-climate-change\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">some circumstances <strong>such as climate change<\/strong><\/a> has caused that <strong>the real estate system reconsiders its policies<\/strong>. Gone are the days when the only thing that mattered was to build without taking into account what type of buildings they were. Nowadays, we consider and bear in mind <strong>the impact a building will cause to the environment<\/strong>. At present, it is taken into account more and more, that <strong>cities must be sustainable places<\/strong>. Regarding this fact, <strong>real estate agents<\/strong> play a leading role as <strong>housing on sale will strongly depend on the habitability of the city<\/strong>. Some time ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/leed-certification\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">we wrote an article in this blog about <strong>housing with Leed Certification<\/strong><\/a> which increases its value because <strong>it respects the environment<\/strong> and is thus more advisable in all aspects. Although in Spain it has taken longer than in other countries, little by little we have become aware that <strong>sustainable housing has a large number of benefits<\/strong> and this fact has led to <strong>a turn in this direction regarding real estate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29111\" src=\"https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/01-sosten-1.jpg\" alt=\"On the path towards a sustainable Real Estate System\" width=\"650\" height=\"523\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/01-sosten-1.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/01-sosten-1-300x241.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/01-sosten-1-621x500.jpg 621w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>SUSTAINABILITY AND THE FUTURE GO HAND IN HAND<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Some time ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/buildings-can-clean-air-fight-pollution\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">we wrote in this blog that <strong>buildings which are capable of decontaminating<\/strong> are being built<\/a>. We pointed out that thanks to this <strong>depolluting system<\/strong>, these buildings <strong>reduced traffic pollution up to 60%<\/strong>. When we take these steps, we know what <strong>the future of real estate<\/strong> will be like. Similarly, the construction sector must <strong>reinvent itself day in day<\/strong> out in order to adapt to the market demand. Furthermore, <strong>the future of the real estate market has become inconceivable without bearing in mind sustainability<\/strong>. The world of <strong>architecture<\/strong> has also reached a unanimous consensus: prestigious architects and master builders believe that the future of their profession lies in <strong>building with very low or even null environmental impact<\/strong>. It is not possible to think about the future without considering <strong>energy efficiency<\/strong>: sustainability and the future go hand in hand, according to the main characters of this situation. Most European governments agree with this and we can see it in their <strong>urban policies<\/strong> which are aimed at <strong>encouraging energy efficiency buildings<\/strong>. We believe that a basic principle of real estate agents is <strong>to respond worthily to new technologies<\/strong> as well as learning<strong> to coexist with them<\/strong>.
