It is a historic building and from its books we are able to know about the <strong>development and progress of Spanish society<\/strong>. In order to visit it, all you need is your identity card. Making a trip into culture inside this mythical building, is really <strong>a worthwhile and fascinating experienc<\/strong>e. Its original name was Biblioteca Real and it had 8.000 books. In <strong>1836<\/strong>, the name was changed to Biblioteca Nacional and it became a public library instead of a private one, as it had been before. <strong>In 1896, the final location was purchased<\/strong> in N\u00ba 20, Paseo de Recoletos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/02-biblio1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3084\" src=\"https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/02-biblio1.jpg\" alt=\"The Biblioteca Nacional\" width=\"650\" height=\"442\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/02-biblio1.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.estateone.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/02-biblio1-300x204.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is estimated that <strong>it has more than 30 million books<\/strong>, published in Spain since the beginning of the XVIII century. As a result, its heritage has become o<strong>ne of the most valuable in the world<\/strong>. In those days, <strong>there was not a strict control concerning the literary works<\/strong> that were added. Important literary works also disappeared in the XX century, and these thefts continued after the arrival of democracy.
