Christmas at home: 7 pieces of advice

It is Christmas! In order to have our home with beautiful Christmas decorations, we believe that it is better to think about certain details instead of buying lots of ornaments. In the blog of Estate One we offer you seven pieces of advice which we are sure will help you. Would you like to know about them?

1- YOUR FRONT DOOR IS ALSO PART OF YOUR HOME

We often forget that the front door is the first thing a guest sees. A Christmas wreath or a Christmas stocking hung on the front door, will make your home Christmasy even before you go inside.

2- ARE YOU A HANDYMAN? TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR SKILLS!

If you are good at handycrafts, why not take advantage of it? If you yourself make a Christmas decoration, it will be much more endearing than if you buy one. Please remember that a simple object can be much more attractive than a striking one. Use your imagination!

3- CREATE AN ORIGINAL NATIVITY SCENE

A Nativity Scene brings Christmas home and it is also a wonderful entertainment for the children as well as for the guests. If you put a Nativity Scene, choose the figures carefully because they will provide personality to that corner of your home.

4- DO NOT OVERDO IT

In order to surprise, there is no need to put ambitious decorations of great magnitude. Do you think it is necessary to buy the tallest Christmas tree in the market? Maybe a small and simple one can create a greater impact, or even something which is not even a tree…

5- USE THE FIREPLACE

If you have a fireplace, you can light the fire in order to create a Christmasy atmosphere. You can also place the Christmas cards on the mantelpiece.

A small detail which has nothing to do with Christmas can give a Christmasy touch to a corner in your home. For example, a nicely wrapped piece of candy inside a decorated glass jar. Use your imagination!
