The key factor in a house is that it gets a lot of light because this will change the perception of space completely. Very often a house with poor light seems smaller than it really is. If the living-room has a large window overlooking the exterior, this will improve the room extraordinarily. We must bear in mind that this is an important part of the house where we spend many hours of the day. We would always recommend enlarging the windows and the balconies. If natural light is not possible, then artificial light must be introduced in order to make the most of the room. Good quality LED lightbulbs will create a cosy atmosphere and thus change the room completely. We may also add that heavy curtains take away a lot of light from the living-room. We advise you to substitute them for light panel curtains.

A WHITE COLOUR, AN ALLY OF LIGHT

White is the colour which most reflects light. Hence the fact that a house with white walls or white furniture will always create a sensation of brightness and spaciousness. For instance, concerning the kitchen, if you have white kitchen units and worktops, not only will it be much more cheerful but it will seem larger.
